Search / Replace

Search for text or replace a text - the function is selected by the tabs in the top.

The controls are:

• Search for: If checked, subtitles are searched for the text in the edit box. Mandatory for Replace.
• Exclude: If checked, subtitles must not contain the text in the edit box.
• Replace with (available only for replace): Replace the found text with the text in the edit box.
• Marked: Specify whether the subtitle must be marked, unmarked or if the mark does not matter.
• Oversize: Specify how to treat oversized subtitles (wider than the reference screen width).
• Multiple text lines: Specify whether the resulting subtitle must have a specific line count
• Overlapping: Specify whether the subtitle must overlap some other subtitles in time
• Style: Specify whether the subtitle must have a specific style
• Direction: The search direction
• Forward - search from the selected subtitle to bottom.
• Backward - search from the selected subtitle to top.
• Search all: If checked, then the text will be searched / replaced in all subtitles
• Ask on replace (available only for Replace): Ask before replacing the text.
• Mark results (available only for Search, when the Search all box is checked): Mark the search results.
• Search or Replace button - search for / replace next text
• Close button - Close the dialog

In the search mode the search for field is not mandatory. The subtitles can be searched for any of the conditions (e.g. style, mark, lines) specified in the dialog.
